You may add a comment on Greensboro if you want. While the city is not an unabashedly leftist oasis, Greensboro is a tolerable place. Guilford College ( a lefty Quaker Coll), artsyUNC-Greensboro, and NC A&T ( a historically african American school giving us Jesse Jackson) all add to the city's progressive nature. There is a sizeable gay population, and the only female democrat serving as mayor. Although the local libertarian types are well organzed, the city's paper is as liberal as couldbe expected from a mainstream rag. While Greensboro is not as much of a haven for liberals in NC as Chapel Hill or Asheville, it's still an overall Liberal-positive place. Add a city.
