There are three semi-professional theatre groups in town, as well as other artists. The town hosts a consolidated high school for a large area and has a highly-educated populous. The editor of the liberal Grant County Herald (www.grantherald.com) lives there and writes excellent liberal-slanted editorials and columns. The community always votes Democratic even though the surrounding county doesn't. It also houses a growing Lutheran church with a liberal Norwegian congregation. Add a city.
