In the mood for a vacation in hell? Try Bakersfield CA. When two gays were beaten to death, the sheriff couldn't have cared less. While you're there a "must visit" is Oildale. It looks like the aftermath of a nuclear war with a shanty-town attached to it. I guarantee you will not find people of color residing in that part of town. It's famous for a sign that used to say "Nigger-don't let the sun set on your ass in oildale!"

Unfriendly city?...Yea, I'd say so.

Regarding Bakersfield, CA: If the state of California needed an enema, the nozzle would be inserted in Bakersfield. This city is xenophobic, homophobic, anal-retentive, uneducated, hypocritical, self-righteous, bigoted, close-minded and open-mouthed. The city is a Pekinese that thinks it is a Great Dane. Sad. This is my take after 52 years.
