Thurs 27...Happy Thankgiving to you and yours...we can be thanksful for a lot this year.
Tue 25...It is nice to see the conservative scandal-mongers eat some delicious crow. I am of course referring to the recent "scandal" over Clinton supposedly selling plots at Arlington National Cemetary. Conservative talk show hosts smelled fresh blood, and were suitably slapped hard when it was revealed beyond a shadow of a doubt that this story was false.
Wed 12... Congressman Barr (R-Georgia) has rapidly overtaken former Congressman Bob Dornan as "Kongressional Kook" number one. What for? Well, last year the thrice-divoced Barr introduced some bill called "the defense of marriage act" but he's topped himself this year by going through the motions of filing impeachment papers against Clinton. I guess if making fund-raising phone calls from the wrong phone is grounds for impeachment these days, it's a good thing people had their heads on better back in 73, or Nixon might have gotten the chair!
Fri 14... Clinton's gotten some heat from the right wing for making a speech at a Human RIghts Campaign fund-raising dinner. The "Family Research Council" put out a press release saying that a sitting Presisdent doing what Clinton did is legitimizing the gay rights movement, and making gays look like normal, honorable American citizens. Yep, nailed it! Good job Clinton, I guess THIS week, the bottle is hlaf-full, not half-empty.
Sunday 16... Bobm Iraq? CLinton's is a bind. He needs to do one thing or the other. Either make this a US operation and take charge, or but out and let the UN handle it. Doing what he is doing now is wishy-washing. Saddam I'm sure is enjoying this very much. The fact it, though, and many of my liberal friends will disagree with me, if we have proof he has powererful VX chamicals or biological weapons, we need to take them out.
