Freepers Rate Turn Left

Free Republic is one of the web's most popular conservative sites. It features what is perhaps the web's largest discussion forum, populated by folks who call themselves "Freepers." These folks have a diverse range of political opinions ranging from conservative to really, really conservative. As you might guess, Turn Left is as popular among Freepers as a Barney Frank Christmas Party invitation. So without further ado, here are some unedited comments from Free Republic denizens on Turn Left. As Dan Quayle has said "I wear their scorn as a badge of honor."

"Turn left, home of fag lovers and baby killers." -- DCZoo
Don't forget, Feminazis too!

"I saw more hate speech in 5 minutes on this site than I have ever seen anywhere. Where's the love?" -- ozzymandus
Can't we all get along?

"I just looked at their awards page. Free Republic should come up with a 'looniest left-site' award and give it to them, so they can put it on their awards page. I'm sure they'd take it as a sling of honor, but they'd be advertising FR at the same time:)" -- Duke Nukum
Sniffle. Seriously guys, It's such an honor. I'd like to thank each and every one of you...

"It gives us on the Right side of the isle a fine example to point to of looney leftwing extremism all on a pro-homosexual website. We can show our children what you silly boys support so that they will know one when they see one. -- tracey12
This is not a pro-homosexual site. I have worked hard to retain my amateur status so I will still be eligible for Olympic competition!

"Be sure to add your town to the liberal unfriendly site. Make up some good stuff about how unfriendly it is to gays. Maybe they'll stay away" -- bocephus
Don't try to fool me. I know that Cobb County Georgia is America's Gay paradise no matter what you silly cons say.

"Did you read the number of hits ? It's a lame thing." -- MKenn56499
It would even be lamer if I made it blink

"bookmarked that site in my entertainment favs for future laughs should i need some." -- liliana
Laugh or cry, it's your choice

"I think Mike Silverman is from Chicago and according to lib thinking, if they are there, liberal, and maintaining a liberal website, it must be a liberal friendly place." -- Duke Nukum
No, my logic is as follows: Chicago is a city. The Cubs play in Chicago. Hillary Clinton likes the Cubs. Therefore, Chicago is a liberal city. Of course, if George Will gets wind of this, it's all over.

"They can't even bring themselves to use an image of a real flag, typical." -- Mike Griffin
Sorry, I burned it trying to light my 4th of July bar-b-que

and saving the best for last...

"I once wrote that bozo Silverman. He's an arrogant, self-righteous, condescending little s--t. It is not worth the time or effort to reason with that movie-addicted, showbiz wannabe. What can you expect from someone who thinks Chuck the Schmuck Schumer is someone to be "thankful" for?" -- MK

They can't stop talking about Turn Left! More "inciteful" commentary from Free Republic, dated 1-23-99, from the thread http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a36aa4a4f1499.htm?id=8996530

"Illusions of grandeur. Sour grapes. Napoleon & Narcissus complexes. Penis envy." -- EdZep
Let me guess...classics major with a minor in psychology?

"Free Republic has accomplished much in regards to our immediate goal of impeaching, convicting and removing the most corrupt president that has ever been foisted upon this nation" -- Jim Robinson
Well, one out of three ain't bad

"Turn Left Interactive is a place that sucks
Turn Left Interactive is a place that sucks
It's a place of buttboy losers
It's a place of airhead boozers
Turn Left Interactive is a place that sucks"
--doug from upland
It has a nice beat, but can you dance to it?

"I just looked at this site and it's exactly what I expected: a pile of rat waste. This may be a trivial point, but notice how these people treat the U.S. flag: blurred, three stripes, and no stars. They may be just playing artsy games but I think this shows what these people really think about this nation and its traditional icons." -- bars for Bill
If I were a conservative site, I would do a Gaussian Blur on the Constitution instead of the flag
